PAPER ATTEMPTING TECHNIQUES

 

Since we all know, papers must be self speaking. How we attempt paper stand us out from rest of candidates. It would definitely help you to fetch more and more marks, as at the D-day your marks matters to determine your group for allocation. It’s blessing in disguise that paper presentation matters. At one hand, it would help you to fetch more marks, while on the contrary it could be disadvantages for the people who are not naturally blessed with legible writing and lacking aesthetic sense to make ideas more appealing.  

While, coming straight to the paint, YOU ARE READING CORRECTLY, legible writing can help you to bring extra bucks in terms of marks. As per one survey, rather than writing correctly presenting appropriately will increase your overall marks on average, except for numerical questions since those are objective in nature. Let’s make a deal, we must improve our way of presentation by following these points: 

 1. ALL ABOUT OUTLINES . There must be some natural sequence in terms of outlines. It’s myth that only essay as a subject demands outlines categorically but what if someone is easing out the reader to read your stuff, don’t you think he/she wants to know beforehand what you are going to write in terms of sequence, call it outline or signposting in expansion of paragraphs. Do yourself a favour, next time before you will attempt any question Write outlines. it’s not that time consuming, in fact, it would streamline your ideas in a well manner way. simultaneously, it would envisage the reader to know your perspective in a short span of time. 



 2. ROLE OF FACTS AND FIGURES IN TABULATED AND GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION. The phenomena of one picture equals to 100 words is not novice in the current era. Every to and fro knows this fact and we ourselves are witnessing this in our day to day affairs, graphs are easing out the raw data and converting it into information with the assistance of these tools to analyse the subject matter in a meaningful way. To project our data this way, it would be suffice for examiner to analyse you in given time with all limitation prevailing owing to matter of time and resources. To help you get it , here is a brief account on how you can utilise your information for projection purposes despite the limitation of time management, as hardly for a question of 20 marks you would get 30 minutes on average for 10 pages. Thus, the GAME IS ON if you can play with the facts and statistics and ease out yourself and reader to project your progress. 





 3. SIGNIFICANCE OF CITATION AND QUOTATIONS TO SUBSTANTIATE YOUR ARGUMENTS. In order to substantiate your arguments instead of plain writing and explaining your perspective you can cite references from various sources. For instance, you can give reference of books while explaining your points. Instead of highlighting the significance of democracy you can cite reference from the book of Maleeha Lodi, PAKISTAN BEYOND THE CRISIS STATE. It will stand you out among others. In the like manner, you can quote from various famous personalities. 



 4. USE OF HEADINGS, SUB- HEADINGS AND BULLET POINTS. Except essay , all subjective papers must be explained with the help of proper headings, sub - headings and bullet points in case of extra details under sub- headings. Organisation of your subject matter can be simplified with the assistance of sub headings. It would not mess up your minute details which you are intended to provide to your reader without loosing interest in your write up. 



 5. USE OF COLOUR MARKERS AND PENS. as far as , use of markers are concerned in your final exams, do use only BLACK AND BLUE markers. Use pens or pointers or whatever which you think can be handy at the same time both in terms of practise and in final exams. Don’t use highlighters it will fade eventually and at the same time, it is not allowed in exams. Use specific colour for specific headings, for instance, if you are using black marker for main headings keep using that plus write it in capitalised letters. In the same fashion, use blue marker for sub headings or vice versa.
