To commit mistakes is a man's instinct, whereas to pardon those mistakes is the quality of the creator only. The error can be any act harmful to the interests of individuals, society, community, country, or the entire universe. Mistakes result from an intentional or unintentional way of harming, whether grave or venial. Mistakes are not bad, but their effects can be. One perspective regarding mistakes: Most of the discoveries in the world are only due to mistakes. The most significant reality of the world is change. Man likes change; for this sake, he tries new things and transforms his thoughts into actions. It is considered a mistake if these actions fail to desire an outcome.

The question arises: is committing mistakes a crime, and to what extent? If making mistakes is a crime, what is the penalty, or how can it be rectified? As humans are created to make errors, and Allah Almighty is to forgive them. If we remind the story of Adam and Eve, who caused the creation of the whole universe, committed the mistake of eating barley or wheat. They faced trouble for non-obedience, and they got penalized for their actions. They were sent to the earth from paradise per Allah's injunction. Adam and Eva repent from Allah Almighty; get immunity from sin through purification of their souls with the praise of Allah.

As Islam is a complete code of conduct, it also explains how to rectify your mistakes. Mistakes are acceptable to the extent of divine limitation, mainly committed unintentionally. To rectify your mistake, repentance is necessary from the owner, and compensation must be paid through "Deyat" and "Qissas," blood money and capital punishment, respectively.

To forgive others is a divine quality; as Shakespeare's said, "the quality of mercy is divine."The mercy of Allah is in Regards to forgiveness. Therefore, do not commit mistakes intentionally; if any time occurs, repent from Allah and seek His forgiveness.
